New report reveals most leading organisations in global health have a long way to go towards workplace gender equality
The report provides an in-depth look at gender equality within the workplace across four dimensions: commitment, evidence-informed policy content, equitable outcomes in power and pay, and gender-responsive programming. The report exposes pay gaps; lack of policies on parental leave, sexual harassment and flexible working; and a systematic absence of women in leadership roles.
By focusing on gender in the workplace, Global Health 50/50 seeks to equip organisations and individuals with the data and tools to review and strengthen their own policies.
More feminist, diverse and inclusive leadership is imperative for achieving policies and programmes that realise health, rights and equality of career opportunities for everyone.
I believe that global health organisations can lead the way towards better wellbeing, by building fairer, more equal workplaces.Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand
I would like to thank Global Health 50/50 for their work in this space, and I look forward to seeing the progress we can make in the year ahead.
