Gender and Justice Index

The Gender & Justice Index presents the performance of 171 organisations on their gender- and equity-related policies and practices. The organisations reviewed are global (operational in more than three countries) and work in and/or influence the field of law and justice. The sample covers organisations from seven subsectors, headquartered in 30 countries around the world.

The Index covers six core variables which assess performance across two interlinked dimensions of inequality: inequality of opportunity in career pathways inside organisations and inequality in who benefits from the global system.

Data is drawn from the inaugural 2026 Global Justice 50/50 Report, Gender (In)Justice?

Global 50/50 collects, analyses and reports only on publicly available information.

We use information that is in the public domain. Global 50/50 considers independence and transparency as core elements of accountability. However, we recognise that policies may not be available in the public domain for a number of reasons, including that many organisations are facing unprecedented backlash against efforts to advance gender equality, fairness, and equity.
